Dev to Hero is a free Chrome browser extension that color-codes documentation pages (MDN Web Docs, W3Schools, javascript.info, DevDocs) by difficulty level to help developers learn more efficiently.

Dev to Hero uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) to save your preferences and learning progress on your own device. This includes:

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage.

Dev to Hero makes zero network requests. The extension runs entirely offline using only the code bundled with it. No external APIs, no telemetry, no analytics endpoints.

Dev to Hero does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The extension contains no mechanism to collect any personal data from anyone.

If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate meaningful changes to this policy.
